Equalizer

"As I am laying here, wounded, about to start again. My body, my wounds, all pumping, all send alarms of belonging to my feelings. To the love for life, so strong that it hurts. I can't  help but ask for forgiveness. I'm sorry for that time I kissed that beautiful new girl in town. Felt the pressure by all the boys and became one more wolf. I'm sorry I misinterpreted. Sorry for that time I met a girl in a tavern, and I locked the door from outside when I went for water. I did that because I knew who was coming up, and didn't want her to be hurt. Still the door could open from inside, so she was free all the time. I just tried to protect her. Sorry for the time I had to kill my horse when she got sick. I saw the suffering in her eyes and couldn't stand any more. I'm sorry for taking too long to understand. I feel now I'm awake and the weight of every mistake builds up on my back. Yes, I see the sky, the birds flying while everyone succumbs around me. Are they watching us die? Are they celebrating life? I feel that immense pause coming. That little hole in time where notting matters, and the sounds slow down. I see now life is noise, we just need to equalize it and then we enjoy. Yes, I'm dying now, here we come."
